I transformed my garden but it took a twist when my husband dug up a suitcase full of bones – now there’s a police probe
WHEN digging in the garden, you’re most likely to find weeds or lost kids toys.
But one couple have been left mortified after discovering a suitcase filled with bones in their garden after trying to plant some trees.
Rebecca-Lynne Chols and her husband, from the US, were left stunned by the discovery which led to a full-on police investigation in their backyard.
Obviously, Rebecca did what any of us would do and decided to document the moment on social media leaving many people open-mouthed.
“When there’s a full blown investigation happening in your backyard because your husband dug up a suitcase full of bones while trying to plant trees,” she wrote.
In the clip, Rebecca-Lynne could be seen on the back patio of her house keeping an eye on the investigation which took place.
Their garden was filled with police officers and a white tent where the mystery suitcase filled with bones was dug up.
Jokingly, she wrote she had vacuum the deck and sweep the gravel driveway so she could have a nosy.
And it wasn’t just Rebecca who was invested in the investigation, millions of people wanted to know the outcome.
In another clip, she revealed her husband was digging when he thought he came across a tree root and decided to pull it out, but instead it was a bone.
He then called the police who investigated the area and found a suitcase in the same hole, which was full of fragmented bones.
Rebecca also claimed that years ago, there was a serial killer in the area, which is potentially why police wanted to analyse the bones to make sure it wasn’t connected.
The couple only moved into the house recently, and the bones are currently going through DNA testing to see whether they are animal or human bones.
In another clip, the mum-of-one revealed the bones were very old so didn’t infringe on any active cases so she and her husband didn’t need to ‘lawyer up’.
The videos posted to her TikTok account @rebeccalynneechols have gone viral with over seven million views.
People were left stunned in the comments and couldn’t wait to hear more.
One person wrote: “That is some serious serious tea! I’m now invested & here for it!”
Another commented: “Honestly, I hope it’s animal bones so they don’t have to excavate your yard!”
Someone else added: “Us true crime junkies are fully invested! lol. Appreciate you for the update!”
