70-year-old Upper West Side woman scares off burglar who scaled fire escape to break into her home: cops

The senior was inside her home at West 76th Street and Broadway around 6:50 p.m. Saturday when an unidentified man climbed up the fire escape and pushed up a window to make his way inside, police said.
