STROPPY Russell Brand hurled a lamp across the room when his terrified girlfriend dared to wake him up — and wore old-fashioned Y-fronts.
Former model Joanne Anderson said he ate cold custard in front of her when she ignored his demands to make him food and loved to wear pom pom socks.
He mocked her on the radio after she claims he gave her a sexually transmitted disease.
Joanne dated Brand, now 48, for seven months from 2005 into 2006 after they met at a London club.
The full-time carer, now 41, said: “He came straight up to me in the bar and was really charismatic.
“I fancied him straight away.
“He wanted to have sex in the toilets.”
A few weeks later, she agreed to go back to his flat, she said.
Joanne said: “He told me to make him something to eat.
“I had no idea what to do, so he turned moody and poured a whole carton of cold ready-made custard into a bowl and sat and ate it all in front of me.
“He did that quite a few times.
“We never shared it.
“He liked wearing old fashioned white Y-fronts and rainbow striped calf length socks with pom poms hanging off them.
“I felt so used.
“But I was infatuated with him.
“One night I found a dirty pair of women’s knickers on the floor.
“It never occurred to me he was sleeping with other women as he wasn’t conventionally handsome.”
Joanne, from Essex, said the affair ended after Brand hurled a lamp when she woke him.
She said: “I had to get up early so I turned the lamp on.
“He shouted ‘turn the f***g light off’.
“He leant over, yanked it out of its socket and threw it across the room. It smashed.
“Neither of us said anything but when I went to leave he gave me a big hug.
“We both knew it was the last time we’d see each other.”
After the relationship ended Joanne went to a clinic and discovered she had an STD.
She said: “I was upset because it can affect fertility and I always wanted children.
“I called Russell. He didn’t answer so I left an angry message.”
The next day on Brand’s Radio 6 Music show, his co-host joked about Brand’s knowledge of STDs.
Joanne said: “They didn’t mention my name, but it felt like they were alluding to my message and laughing at me.
“During our relationship he made me feel scared, ashamed and worthless.
“I believed we’d become a couple, but we never went out on a date.
“He was so intelligent, but he seemed insecure.
“But I could tell he was troubled, and I wanted to fix him.
“I want him to realise how hurtful his behaviour has been in the past.”
