With all the doom and gloom that’s flying around because we’ve had a couple of poor results (but decent performances) in the last six days, I think it’s interesting to note that we are top of the Championship when it comes to XG stats (according to FootballXG.com) we’re 9th for expected goals for and are easily 1st for XG goals against. When combined were top, with Leicester 2nd, Leeds/Sunderland joint 3rd. I know football is all about results but this shows just how well John Eustace has actually got us set up. He can only set the team up to maximise the chances of Winning, he can do nothing about keeper errors or strikers not finishing presentable chances. Add a couple of quality players in key positions and everything changes.
Out of interest- Preston are joint 15th and Albion are 22nd.
