Oddsmakers drop Colorado’s national championship odds after brutal Oregon loss
Colorado football’s honeymoon period with oddsmakers appears to be over.
After the team’s difficult 42-6 loss at Oregon, the Buffaloes saw their national title odds plummet. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ Heisman odds also took a substantial dip due to the defeat.
At BetMGM, Colorado had +8000 odds before Saturday’s kickoff in Eugene, and the team closed with +25000 odds after the loss to Oregon.
Sanders’ Heisman chances fell from +1800 to +6000 at BetMGM, which would definitely keep him out of the finalists group should these odds match the voting results come December.
Sportsbooks also cleaned up on Colorado bettors who thought that the team’s +21 odds against Oregon were worth the money.
Colorado +21 was most-bet Week 4 CFB side at many books, including @DKSportsbook, @PointsBetFBG and @BetMGM.
Books had enormous liability on Colorado ML as well.
Public has given plenty of Colorado back to books the last two weeks.
Final score: Oregon 42, CU 6

As for Ducks quarterback Bo Nix, his stellar performance against Colorado gave his Heisman odds a boost from +2500 to +1000.

Colorado took one in the chin on Saturday, which will cool oddsmakers on the Buffaloes for a bit. Next week’s game against USC won’t help that, at least not right now with Colorado looking like a major underdog.
However, if the team can get two-way star Travis Hunter back into the lineup soon, we wouldn’t be surprised if the team’s overall odds bounced back just a little.
