The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed a transnational conspiracy by the Myanmar-based leadership of Indian insurgency groups to wage war against India. The NIA recently arrested Moirangthem Anand Singh, a former cadre of banned groups, in connection with this case. The investigation has shown that the insurgent leadership is recruiting workers and sympathizers to carry out attacks and collect arms and ammunition. The Manipur Police has previously charged Singh and four others with alleged misuse of police uniform, impersonation, and possession of arms.
