The Assam government has signed MOUs worth Rs 3114 crore with private enterprises to set up mega industries in the state. The agreements include the establishment of industrial parks and a 5-star hotel near Kaziranga National Park. The Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, stated that these investments indicate Assam's progress towards becoming one of the most industrialized states in the country.
