Looks a much more effective player under Montgomery. Perhaps it’s the influence of someone who knows his game. Newell always seems a better player when he’s in the team. His anticipation and reading of the game is first class. It’s a pity he doesn’t have more skill on the ball or a greater passing range but within these limitations he’s managing to be a stand out.
