No building from the back for me, I detest watching England play, advance down the wing, pass back to halfway line then full back then keeper to other full back and so on. I want 11 giants playing Charles Hughes direct football with zero passing across our own box.

I suspect you are being sarcastic.

However, the problem with England is not so much the way they play, because they have the players to play that way, it’s how slow the build up is. It makes it much easier to defend against. They need to move the ball much quicker. They are all capable players.

I think you could say the same about Blues. We need to move the ball quicker and we need more movement in midfield.

our way out of defence was that ball from Buchanan into Anderson and then he'd lay it off and we would build, injury killed our gameplan as giving Burke the ball facing his own goal is a recipe for disaster

Which is quite simple football. We’re not a team trying to over do it at all regardless of what others are trying to imply.

Some would want us to go 442, go long with Juke up front and win the scraps. It still wouldn’t gain any more better results the same as the 18/19 when we were apparently incredible under Monk. Bottom half finish that was I seem to remember. Turgid mostly too. The Gardner hook.

Ultimately we need better in about 4 or 5 positions. Mostly in wide and forward areas. That should hopefully change next summer. From there whatever Eustace wants us to be should then come into fruition. It’ll be his team then.

I don't think anybody wants us to play that way. It's also not how we played under Monk.
