Julianne Moore took detailed craftsmanship to the front row at Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2024 fashion show.
On Saturday, Moore was seated in Milan, Italy for the luxury brand’s latest runway during Milan Fashion Week. On this occasion, the Oscar-winning actress slipped on a pair of woven boots — a black leather style with faintly rounded toes and intricately woven uppers — from its “Canalazzo” line.
The actress’ shoe texture was notably a take on Bottega Veneta’s signature “Intreccio” weaving technique, which creative director Matthieu Blazy.
Boots like Moore’s are favored for their versatility. Ankle, calf and knee-high iterations in a range of textures are often favored for their versatility during the fall months, particularly in black, brown and tan tones. New boot styles can also be seen in recent launches from a range of brands, including Neil J. Rodgers, Dolce Vita and Kenneth Cole.
Moore’s chic boots brought a sophisticated base to the rest of her Bottega attire: a yellow, gray and black plaid mohair button-up jacket, layered atop the Italian brand’s viral $6,900 blue jeans — which were, in fact, leather pants colored and printed to look like denim. Bottega’s $4,200 Sardine handbag — featuring a woven dark brown leather base with a gold sardine-shaped handle — and small twisted gold hoop earrings brought a versatile finish to her outfit.
Milan Fashion Week officially kicked off on Sept. 19 and runs through Sept. 25. The spring 2024 season features a calendar of fashion shows and presentations from a range of brands, including Fendi, Tom Ford, Versace, Gucci and more.
