The Traitors favourite gives birth as she reveals her baby’s sweet name and first photo

THE Traitors star Maddy Smedley has given birth to her first child and revealed her daughter’s sweet name.

Maddy found fame on the very first series of the hit BBC One reality show and announced her pregnancy shortly after the series’ finale.

The 30-year-old wrote on Instagram alongside a gallery of adorable snaps from her labour: “Welcome to the world Shelby Rae, love you so much already.”

Fans of The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman commented on her post with a string of red love hearts.

Others flooded her comments with congratulations and well wishes, as one said: “Ah congratulations! A little baby faithful.”

And another said: “Im so happy for you, congratulations!”

Maddy made it to the final week of The Traitors before she was taken out of the game in shocking scenes.

Clips of Maddy’s acting past resurfaced after she spoke about her time in hit BBC shows EastEnders and Casualty on the show.

In Casualty, Maddy can be seen playing a teaching assistant who was born without a womb but a desire to have children.

Maddy also appeared in long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders as a homeless woman named Rita.
