He shares everything from bargains from Heron Foods and Aldi to tips on the energy bills and his thoughts on the petrol costs.

In one such video, he simply sha

red how to keep warm throughout the winter months without impacting your electricity bills.

He explained that an electric blanket would do the trick and showed off a brand that can easily be found from Asda for £22.

“Heat your bed for just 1 pence by buying an electric blanket,” he wrote.

The Silentnight electric blanket has three heat settings and is described to have a “super snuggly fleece material to keep you extra warm and cosy”.

TikTok user @costoflivingcrisis continued: “Instead of using central heating, wrap up and relax in or on your bed and save money.

“After the warm up they cost around 3 to 5 pence an hour to use.”

He added that this is a “big saving” compared to having the heating on during the winter.

In another clip, he shared two more tips, explaining that you should get a thick dressing gown and a hot water bottle, too.

People were quick to comment on his tips as one person wrote: “I honestly don’t know how people cope without 1!

“I’ve had 1 my whole adult life I can’t get into a cold bed ever! [Love] my electric blanket”.

Another person asked: “How’s the material looks a bit rough?”

He replied: “It is but you put it under your sheets so you won’t feel nothing but the heat,” followed by a thumbs up emoji.

A third called it the “best thing ever,” while a fourth shared: “loving mine I got double”.

Another suggested: “Fleece bedding don’t need a electric blanket cost all night,” followed by a red heart emoji.

According to House Beautiful, there are many other ways to keep warm without putting the heating on.

They explained that you could, for example, get a throw or a weight blanket.

Weight blankets provide an extra layer of warmth due to the heavy material while also “using a technique called deep pressure stimulation (DPS) to make the sleeper feel more secure”.

They added that knitted socks, quilts and scarves are also great options to keep warm during the colder months ahead.

Do you have a nifty hack to keep warm?
