I’m 57 – three skincare products that I can’t live without, the third is the ‘gold standard’ for anti-aging
AN age-defying woman has left people in disbelief after revealing how she maintains her youthful appearance.
Lisa LaCroix (@lisa_lacroix) explained how the look and feel of her skin improved after she started to focus on taking care of it.
The 57-year-old boasts almost 130,000 followers on TikTok where she shares the things that have worked for her while aging gracefully.
She took to the social media platform with a step-by-step guide to her skincare routine.
Lisa said: “Three products my 57-year-old skin could not do without.
“Before I begin I cleanse my skin until nothing is left on the cotton.
“And then glycolic acid toner, it evens my skin tone and reduces sun damage.”
Lisa said she uses a gentle cleanser or makeup remover to ensure there is no dirt or makeup left on her skin.
She follows the step by applying a vitamin C serum from Dr Brenner which leaves her skin “looking dewy and feeling hydrated.”
“I like to apply all my products as a ritual act of self-care and love for my skin,” read the text over the video.
Lisa explained the benefits of including retinoids in her skincare routine claiming it reduces fine lines, age spots, and improves collagen production.
Lisa said: “And then the gold standard for reducing fine lines and improving collagen Retinoids.
“I alternate between three.
“A prescription cream with tretinoin 0.025%, Curology which also has tretinoin but less, and the inexpensive Differin cream which is an adapalene.
“I base my product use on what feels and looks good on my skin.
“I am not an expert just a 57-year-old woman who likes to take care of her skin.”
She captioned the post: “I’m 57 and since I started taking care of my skin it looks and feels so much better.
“Here are the three most important products in my routine.
“These are the products that have made the greatest difference.”
She included the hashtags #matureskin, #thisis57, and #artfulaging.
The video went viral with over 2,500 likes and a stream of comments from people shocked by Lisa’s ageless appearance.
