September 27, 2023 – TPT Conservation Volunteers Workday (Penistone/Dunford Bridge section)

The TPT Conservation Volunteers are aiming to catch up with one of the wildflower areas, but keeping an eye on the weather before making a final decision as to where exactly they will be. If it’s looking as though it’s going to be a bit wet they may change their plans.

New volunteers are always welcome – you don’t need to let the Volunteers know you’re coming; you can just turn up on the day and they’ll  make sure you feel welcome and know what you’re doing. If you can’t stay for the whole day that’s no problem; you are welcome to go for an hour or two if that suits you better. If you’d like to know more before venturing out just ring Kate for a chat on 07704 333445.

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided as usual morning and afternoon – but you’ll need to bring a mug to put it in!

Date: Wednesday, September 27

Time: 10am – 4pm

Location: Lifts available from Penistone leaving at 9.45am – just email/ring to arrange.

Further Info:

If the forecast changes to torrential rain please check your inbox before setting out – any cancellation will be by 7pm Tuesday evening.

Parking: Please arrive by bike, or on foot, if you can – if you need to come in your car please email for advice. Lifts available from Penistone leaving at 9.45am – just email/ring to arrange.

Do wear… old clothes you don’t mind getting spoilt; good quality work gloves, and stout footwear.

Do bring… we will provide tea/coffee and biscuits morning and afternoon as usual but please bring your own mug!

Longdendale Access Project

Pat and Bryan’s story has helped our Partners right across the Trans Pennine Trail network to see how changes can make the route more accessible. Take a look at what they've helped to accomplish.
