I’m an EV driver – now I understand why people don’t like electric cars… here’s three reasons I hate mine
AN EXPERT has identified three key features that could put buyers off an electric vehicle.
A review by an expert of the American RIvian R1S revealed three key points which could deter buyers from considering an electric vehicle (EV.)
The first point identified was the fact that the new owner might forget to charge their new car at night, meaning the battery will run low. This could cause the car to stop when out on the road.
The second issue was that the EV features regenerative breaking. This is a feature where the car starts to automatically slow down after the driver takes their foot off the accelerator.
The reviewer admits that many drivers might struggle a bit with this.
The third potential stumbling block was the fact that the driver uses their phone as an ignition key.
He states that this takes a bit of getting used to. The Californian made RIvian R1S is a big fast all electric SUV pitched at drivers who want to go off road for day trips or camping holidays.
