Travis Kelce’s Sporty Style Over the Years Is Filled With Sharp Sneakers
Travis Kelce is known on the football field for his tight end moves for the Kansas City Chiefs — but outside of it, he’s known for his sharp shoe choices.
Kelce, who’s established his football career with the Chiefs since joining the team in 2013, regularly wears sneakers for a wide range of occasions. On and off the red carpet, the athlete can be seen in both neutral, colorful and monochrome styles in a wide array of materials and finishes, hailing from brands including Nike. These often complement an array of tonal suits, denim and colorful separates from labels like Bottega Veneta, Lanvin and Louis Vuitton.
However, Kelce’s also incorporated the occasional formal shoe into his footwear rotation — like the black slip-on loafers he wore to the 2023 ESPY Awards earlier this summer.

In 2016, Kelce paid a visit to SiriusXM Studios in New York City. For the occasion, he casually laced into a pair of monochrome white high-top sneakers — complete with rounded toes and smooth uppers. The set provided a clean base for his outfit: a white T-shirt, dark red plaid overskirt and biker-quilted gray jeans.
While at the annual Xbox Sessions: Game Before the Game in 2020, Kelce posed with Richard Sherman on the red carpet. On this occasion, the athlete was comfortably dressed in a soft gray sweatshirt and matching shorts. The athleisure set gained a sporty flair when paired with rounded Nike sneakers, cast in glossy hues of black, pink and light blue.
The premiere of Netflix’s “Quarterback” documentary — which stars Kelce’s fellow Chiefs athlete Patrick Mahomes — found Kelce hitting the red carpet with his mother, Donna Kelce. During the formal event, the star wore a light mint green Lanvin suit atop a matching crewneck shirt. For a monochrome spin, his pastel ensemble was finished with a pair of matching white and light green sneakers.
While speaking at the 2023 ESPY Awards in July, Kelce stepped onstage alongside “Saturday Night Live” star Heidi Gardner. In a formal twist, he swapped his frequent rotation of sneakers for a dapper pair of glossy black leather slip-on loafers. The style added a crisp finish to his equally dapper outfit: a white collared shirt and matching blazer, layered over long black trousers for a two-toned effect.
