Fugitive wanted for attempted murder in New York arrested in Hartford
A man wanted for attempted murder in New York was arrested in Hartford on Wednesday.
Christian Anderson, 19, was found at a residence on Lisbon Street and taken into custody, according to the U.S. Marshals Service for the District of Connecticut.
Anderson was wanted for an attempted second-degree murder charge in connection with a shooting on March 25 in New York, where authorities said he and another suspect fired numerous rounds at someone.
Anderson was apprehended by the Connecticut U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force, members of the Hartford Police Department, the U.S. Marshals New York-New Jersey Task Force and troopers with Connecticut State Police. He was transported to the Hartford Police Department pending extradition to New York, officials said.
