South magnets are the go
Hello Friends,
1.8 metres of 12-second SE energy and light winds for the early saw the magnets well attended. The 1.74m high tide at 0840 however was making for very full and slow conditions. Even so, there were set wave faces into the shoulder to head high range. Well worth a paddle (just don’t expect to have it to yourself). Wind is set to come around to the NE at 15-20 kts by lunch time.
Sunday’s looking more iffy weather-wise, but there could still be a little wave to be had as a NE wind swell mixes in with the small south component. Wind is set to be north and going hard early, then not backing off, but swinging to the south later. Wind’s set to be southerly across Mon-Tue, but maybe light enough to make it worth going for a splash in the small, but hopefully not flat conditions. Wednesday is predicted to be cloudy but with a building NE swell and Thursday currently looks like it might be pretty intense at NE exposures as 2.5+ metre, 10 sec NE swell stacks in. I wonder if it’ll be enough to cut some gutters and give us relief from the endless lined-up shutdowns…
Have a great Saturday!
