Gardening gurus share the ‘tried and tested’ way to kill weeds in 48 hours and it includes using a 29p product
FROM creeping through patio slabs to sneaking through cracks in the driveway, pesky weeds are nothing but a total pain.
And if you’ve left your garden untouched in recent months, then chances are you’ve got your work cut out for you.
But if you don’t fancy spending hours on your hands and knees trying to dig them up (and let’s face it, who would), then you may just want to take note.
Avid gardeners have taken to a Mrs Hinch-inspired cleaning group on Facebook to reveal their top weed-tackling tip.
And the best part of all? It’s super cheap and easy to do.
“I’ve tried and tested this method,” wrote one woman, as reported by The Express.
“Use a gallon of white vinegar, one cup of salt and two tablespoons of washing-up liquid.
“Mix it together and put on the weeds with a watering can. Within two days the weeds will die and after a week sweep them up.

“I have tried this and it works so well.
“It’s not harmful to pets because no chemicals, I have a cat.
“Nothing will clear weeds as new seeds are blown into cracks with wind but just repeat above.
“It’s the best natural weed killer I’ve tried.”
A bottle of vinegar, which has a super high acetic acid content, costs as little as 29p from Tesco.
It can help to destroy weeds in an instant by removing the moisture and killing them through dehydration.

In response, many shared the same advice and noted how it really does work.
“Use white vinegar mixed with water,” advised one green-fingered social media user.
“Be careful though, it kills any plant it touches so watch it if you have lawn nearby.”
A second penned: “I agree, white vinegar works a treat on paving weeds.”
A third wrote: “The absolute best way to kill patio weeds down to the root is white vinegar, knocks them out instantly.”
