Bristol PD: 20-year-old Hartford man arrested in connection with shot-fired incident
A Hartford man is facing charges in connection with a shots-fired incident in Bristol, police said.
Bristol patrol officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area of Judson and Lawndale Avenues on Sept. 16 just after 2 a.m., according to the Bristol Police Department. Officers located several bullet casings as well as a vehicle on Church Street that had been struck by bullets, police said.
After an investigation, members of the Bristol Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division identified 20-year-old Jaheim Parker of Hartford as a suspect in the incident, according to police.
Parker was arrested on Wednesday and charged with illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault and first-degree reckless endangerment.
He was being held in lieu of a $500,000 bail and appeared at New Britain Superior Court on Thursday.
“The Bristol Police Department will always prioritize finding those individuals whose criminal behavior puts our citizens in harm’s way,” the department said in a release on Friday.
