SUMMER is now officially over which means only one thing – having to dry your laundry indoors.

But if you’re on the lookout for an easy hack to prevent mould and stop your clothes from smelling musty, one mum has shared her tips.

According to the savvy mum, all you need for dry clothes this autumn and winter is a simple buy from Argos

Taking to TikTok, the savvy parent, only known as Ms Mama Chaos, revealed how she dries her clothing in cold weather indoors – and it’s all thanks to a miracle product.

According to the cleaning enthusiast, her Minky Heated Airer is a ”must for keeping on top” of your family’s washing, particularly during winter and autumn.

”Two years going strong on this clothes airer,” she went on to praise the bargain buy in the video.

The laundry essential can be snapped up from Argos where it retails for £60, as well as ordered online from Amazon for the same price.

This lightweight, yet sturdy, heated clothes airer costs less than 8p to run, the brand claimed on their website.

In total, the 12m drying space can hold up to 16kg of garments, making it the perfect fit for families.

What’s more, the easy to manoeuvre airer comes with a cover that helps retain heat and improve the drying performance – and it’s more economical and kinder to your clothes than a tumble dryer.

The savvy and simple design is also easy to fold for compact storage when not in use.

It’s not just the mum who was raving about the airer – more than 70 per cent of happy shoppers have left positive reviews online.

One Argos customer said: ”Love this product. Works well and easy drying over the winter. Much recommended.”

Another chimed in: ”I bought this about a month ago and I’m very pleased with it, not to bulky and drys clothes overnight [sic].”

”Good value for money. Easy to assemble and cheap to run,” a third penned.

”Great alternative to hanging clothes on radiators during a rainy summer! The cover speeds up the drying process and there is no musty damp smell to clothes once dried.”

However, not everyone’s had the best experience with the £60 buy, as one person thought the clothes-drying process would be more speedy.

”Haven’t used it much yet but so far a little disappointing. It does heat up and is as described but doesn’t seem to dry clothes out much quicker, not as quickly as the claim in the description.”
