The OBC communities in Maharashtra have ended their protest after the state government assured them that the Maratha community would not be given reservation under the OBC category. The OBC leaders had been on a hunger strike for 19 days, demanding that the government not give the Kunbi caste certificate to the Marathas. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with the OBC leaders and assured them that the government would not reduce the OBC quota.
