The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange alert for Odisha's seven districts due to heavy rainfall. Fishermen have been warned to stay away from the sea until October 2. Odisha's Khurda district has received the highest amount of rainfall in the last 24 hours. The IMD expects the rainfall intensity to increase on October 2 and 3.
