I found a £6 way to give my bathroom a renter-friendly makeover – I love it but people say it’ll breed mould
A WOMAN has revealed that she has found a simple and cheap solution to give her rented bathroom a stunning makeover.
So if you are renting but want to give your space an upgrade, or you’re just looking for a quick and easy way to transform your home, we’ve got exactly what you need.
Sharing her bathroom’s overhaul on social media, Brianna Renee, who is from Los Angeles, explained that she used peel and stick tiles to give her bathroom’s plain white wall a fresh new look, whilst on a budget.
Documenting the DIY job online, Brianna uploaded her clip with the caption ‘best renter friendly life hack out there.’
Showing off her bathroom tiles, she claimed: “These are not real tiles.”
She then explained: “I bet I almost tricked you because they look very realistic.
“If you can’t tell, I’m very excited about this.
“But I got these peel and stick tiles from a place called Smart Tile.”
She then documented the process of sticking the tiles to the wall, as she added: “It just completely transformed my bathroom into my Barbie dream bathroom.
“It’s so me, I’m so obsessed with it and it was so easy to do.
“I’m also a sucker for a good DIY project – I love a little DIY home decor, so peeling this, sticking it on the wall myself was fun for me.
“It took me about two hours, but I also move like a sloth, I feel like other people could do it quicker than me.”
The DIY fan then proudly showed off the finished look, as she said: “This is how it turned out.”
The tiles Brianna bought were $6.99 [£5.73], but if you fancy giving this hack a try, you can buy peel and stick tiles from a variety of different stores, including B&M, B&Q and The Range.
The TikTok clip, which was posted just yesterday under the username @briannaxrenee, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed a staggering 208,700 views.
But social media users were left divided at Brianna’s bathroom – while some were impressed and thought her space looked ‘cute’, others thought it would breed mould.
One person said: “That’s how you get mould.”
Another added: “This doesn’t look like Barbie, to me it looks like a grandma’s old bathroom.”
However, at the same time, someone else wrote: “Stunning.”
Whilst another chimed in: “This is the cutest, I’m obsessed.”
