I’m in my 50s but look years younger and it’s all thanks to three simple tricks – eye drops work wonders for one thing
IT’S only natural that your face will change as you age, but that doesn’t mean you have to look tired and dull.
Kat James, a celebrity makeup artist and skincare expert, has shared three simple tricky anyone can use to look younger for longer.
She recently took to TikTok to share her tricks and explain why they’re a must as you age.
The first thing kat suggested was keeping your teeth free from stains using whitening strips.
“As we age, they become less white and less vibrant. I don’t care what toothpaste you’re brushing with, it just happens with age,” she said.
Teeth can naturally become discoloured overtime, so when you get older even if you don’t smoke, drink excessive amounts of coffee or eat loads of sugar you may still see some stains.
This is because the enamel thins, meaning stains can form and stick easier.
The beauty whizz said she uses Crest White Strips, “I do the sensitive ones because I don’t like [my teeth] to get stingy or tingly. These ones are awesome and really work,” she noted.
Her next time is to keep your eyes looking healthy and white using eyedrops.
She said: “The whites of our eyes also become less vibrant as we age.”
You can buy brightening eyedrops from shops like Boots or Superdrug for as little as £3.25, so it’s a real bargain trick to look younger.
Kat said she notices an immediate difference in her face when she uses the drops.
“My whole face just came to life by brightening my eyes,” she quipped.
The skincare pro’s final tip is to use a serum on eyebrows to keep them looking full.
Eyebrows can naturally thin out over time, so using a serum could help them stay thicker, which will create a more youthful look overall.
Kat used the Length Grow Seum by Sarah Maxwell Beauty, which you can use on your eyelash and brows.
She raved about the product and said she saw results within two weeks of picking it up.
“This is the only one I have used that my lashes and brows grow like crazy. You don’t get any discolouration,” she said.
Board-certified dermatologist Bertha Baum told InStyle that not all lash serums will give such noticeable results.
“Some people may experience noticeable lash length and thickness improvements after using them consistently.
“In contrast, others may see little or no results. It’s essential to manage expectations, as results may take several weeks to months to become apparent,” she explained.
