Nina posted a happy picture of herself having a meal and a glass of wine in a restaurant.
Alongside the snap, she wrote: “Happy 3 months to my little one. But here’s a photo of me.”
Continuing, she explained: “Because I baked her, birthed her, am growing her via my boobies, and (after some lunchtime Beaujolais) am feeling brave enough to say I feel proud of that.
“Very grateful to the Fates that we’ve been able to do this – but it’s not been a doddle. And all Mummys should take a moment now and again to drink some beauj, hold a fork of greens over the head of a dead fish and reflect on the magnitude of what they did.”
Nina was praised by fans for her honest post: “Here’s to celebrating women rather than being so negative. Hope you had another glass,” one said.
Others flooded her with support. One said: “Well said! You look so happy!”
“Amen to that and well done!” added a second.
A third commented: “Great pic glowing with motherhood and you have a lovely way with words.”
While a fourth praised: “You look amazing. Enjoy the time to yourself. Well deserved.”
“Such a lovely photo & post Nina, you have every right to feel proud of your gorgeous family,” added a fifth.
“Great job Nina, and it’s been wonderful following your new baby story,” said a sixth.
Meanwhile, some fans asked when they can expect to see Nina back on BBC Breakfast, though it’s probably going to be a while yet.
Nina began her maternity leave back in June. However, her return date has not been confirmed, but is unlikely to be before 2024.
Alongside parenting her newborn and sons Digby and Michael, Nina has shared a few candid updates about caring for her dad Chris, who was diagnosed with mixed dementia in 2022.
She previously told BBC Radio 5 Live that babies and children are a fantastic tonic for people suffering from dementia.
