Birkenstock Gives Its Uji, Boston and Kyoto Styles the Fall Treatment With Felt Uppers
Birkenstock is upgrading a wide range of its most classic styles with textural felt uppers just in time for fall.
Light gray felt uppers have been applied to Birkenstock’s fan-favorite Boston, Uji and Kyoto styles, making for a versatile seasonal twist. Despite the composition, each silhouette includes a lightweight and flexible EVA sole constructed with special shock-absorbing properties that act to cradle the feet.
Each style comes in a wide range of both men’s and women’s sizes in regular/wide and medium/narrow widths. Much like many other Birkenstock styles, the upgraded felt footwear also includes contoured cork-latex footbeds that create custom support as the shoe is worn. Other features presented in each slip-on style include suede footbed lining that provides the wearer with extra comfort.
The closed-toe Boston style retails for $155 and includes soft and plushy wool and felt uppers that transition into dark gray adjustable strap closures looped into metal pin buckles for a utilitarian look.
Similarly, the Kyoto sandal retails for $150 and features sophisticated synthetic felt and oiled leather uppers, adjustable hook-and-loop straps and breezy open-toes. Finally, Birkenstock’s felt Uji sandal retails for $150 and includes two oiled leather hook-and-loop straps, muck like the Kyoto sandal, which are embossed with the footwear brand’s logo.
Birkenstock’s new felt Uji, Kyoto and Boston styles are available for purchase on the brand’s website now.
