I DIYed my own version of Pottery Barn’s $99 fall ghost decor – mine are so easy, cheap, and cute

A DIY pro has figured out how to recreate a $99 Halloween decor from Pottery Barn.

The expert said her ghost decoration was affordable, simple, and pretty.

TikToker Sarah Pope (@sarahepope30) received over 300 comments when she posted her hack.

“Here is the DIY tutorial for the Pottery Barn ghosts. So easy, so cheap and so cute,” she wrote.

“You can add lights if you want, but I didn’t feel like it,” Sarah added.

The ghosts Sarah recreated are no longer available on Pottery Barn‘s website.

According to her TikTok, they originally retailed for $99.

For her dupe, Sarah purchased a styrofoam sphere, a styrofoam rectangle, a long wooden dowel, and white fabric.

The first step of the DIY project is to hot glue the rectangle styrofoam to a square piece of cardboard.

Then you use the dowel to make a hold in the center of the rectangle.

Next, you fill that with hot glue and then stick the dowel into place.

For the third step, you make a hole in the bottom of the sphere with the dowel and then add hot glue to the opening.

Sarah then secured the sphere to the top of the dowel.

For the final part of the craft, Sarah threw the white fabric over the sphere and cut out two oval-shaped eyes from some black fabric.

She used a hot glue gun to keep them in place.

Sarah said people could place fairy lights underneath the ghosts if they wanted, but she didn’t feel like it for this project.

The expert didn’t reveal how much money she spent on materials.
