First full look inside Big Brother house with famous staircase, glam room and nowhere to hide as new series kicks off
THE BIG Brother house has received a very impressive makeover ahead of ITV’s highly anticipated reboot.
With a new set of housemates moving into their new home at Garden Studios in North West London, they’ll certainly have nowhere to hide when cameras start rolling tomorrow.
Although its interior has been built inside a brand new sound stage, the old famous staircase is back, as well as the iconic diary room.
But this time, there’s a Love Island-style glam room – which is sure to go down a treat with the newcomers.
The cast will enter through a giant, neon-lit eye before finding themselves in a double-height living room with a mezzanine floor.
Not unlike something from Kevin McCloud’s Grand Designs, the much-hyped property includes quirky ornaments and big, bright lights.
There are several double beds too, so some housemates will have to shack up with a stranger.
The show’s sustainability pledge is in action in the bathroom, where a bath balances on a raised plinth.
The set’s colourful outdoor area includes a covered seating zone and an expanse of space likely to be grassed over, as has been the case with other BB gardens.
The house has been modelled to ensure people using wheelchairs have complete access, meaning a redesign at the front where contestants previously used stairs.
It is not yet known if any of the housemates will be wheelchair users but yesterday ITV released an official image of the hosts Will Best and AJ Odudu.
They will present a special launch on ITV1 before the programme airs nightly on ITV2.
