Cassidy Clark (‘The Challenge: USA’) on being thrown into arena 4 times and just missing the final: ‘I went out with a whimper’ [Exclusive Video Interview]

Cassidy Clark became the 15th contestant eliminated from “The Challenge: USA” on Thursday night, following her loss to Chanelle Howell in the arena. In a not-so-classic version of “Hall Brawl,” the opponents smashed into each other in a narrow hallway and then had to complete a puzzle. Chanelle finished the fastest, sending the “Survivor 43” runner-up packing just before the season finale. Watch our exclusive video interview with the eliminated contestant above.

“It’s so bittersweet,” she tells Gold Derby senior editor Denton Davidson. “I was really proud of everything that I had done in the game. Having to fight that hard just to come up short of making the final was pretty devastating. I was in a lot of shock when it happened because it was over so quickly. Before I blinked I was out. At the same time, I had practice in losing right at the end in an epic way on ‘Survivor.’ I’m used to this at this point.”

Cassidy reveals that final arena competition was over in “less than a minute.” She explains, “It ended up being who can get to the mat fastest to guess. I would have rather done a normal Hall Brawl. What was the point of the Hall Brawl? For the last, final elimination it could have been more intense. It’s a big thing to fight for. I wish I had the opportunity to really fight for it rather than it just being over so quickly. All my other eliminations were so intense and so physical. I went out with a whimper and I wanted to go out with a bang.”
