Activist Monoj Jarange, who has been advocating for Maratha quota in Maharashtra, has threatened to escalate his agitation if the government fails to provide reservation for the community in jobs and education. Jarange demanded that Marathas be given Kunbi certificates, which would grant them reservation benefits under the OBC category.
