I make a DIY cauldron every Halloween using Amazon buys – it’s so easy and cheap to do
A HOME decor guru turned sorceress has shared how she created her own DIY cauldron that had her bubbling over with excitement.
The budget shopper’s most stylish Halloween item of the season was both easy to make and affordable.
Some of her affordable Amazon buys included two sizes of plastic ornaments[/caption]“This is the third year that I’ve made this cauldron and every year I make a few adjustments,” said Courtney (@apieceofmyhaven).
The DIYer who had finally created the cauldron of her dreams explained her easy steps.
“Start by adding some filler to the bottom of your cauldron,” she said.
Courtney herself added a pot and paper bags to the bottom of the $26.99 Pmu Halloween Cauldron from Amazon.
For the next step she took all of the tops off of two different sized ornaments.
She used a $27.99 iridescent ornaments balls plastic set as well as $22.99 Christmas iridescent ornaments balls that were also both from Amazon.
It was then time to get things lit – literally.
The home decor expert used two strands of $15.99 Twinkle Star Halloween fairy lights that added an even more festive element.
She then secured more ornaments on top using hot glue – and she wasn’t done yet.
Courtney also glued the iridescent balls down the side of the cauldron to make it look like bubbles were spilling over.
She proudly displayed her completed Halloween decor on a cart in her living room.
The decor expert had certainly found some fans of her DIY sorcery.
“I love this! So creative,” exclaimed one impressed follower.
“This is so good!” another viewer agreed.
Yet another follower had his own suggestion: “Cute, I would’ve put a humidifier inside as well for misty effect.”
