Scientists have discovered that lunar dust, consisting of dark gray volcanic rock, could be used to construct roads and landing pads on the moon. Lunar dust's abrasive nature and electrical charge pose challenges to space exploration. To address this, scientists have experimented with using concentrated sunlight to melt lunar dust into solid rock slabs. They successfully produced tiles that could interlock to create solid surfaces.
