THE biggest indoor water park in the world is to open a huge new hotel on-site – so you never have to leave.

Tropical Islands is a huge attraction in Germany, which has record-breaking attractions within the former aircraft carrier.

And the resort has revealed new plans for a £22million hotel, with 500 rooms ranging from two to four-person suites.

Guests will be able to enter the park without leaving the hotel, as it will be attached to the resort.

It hopes to open by early 2024.

Currently, you can stay in a range of accommodation options, including camping areas, holiday homes and dome rooms.

Also coming next year are the Ohana lodges – 150 Polynesian-Hawaiian-style rooms.

Until then, the waterpark is open to tourists – and there is a lot to explore.

Inside are four sections – Tropical Village, Water Worlds, Tropical Rainforest and Amazonia.

Water Worlds is the main indoor area, with a 200 metre sandy beach, palm trees and enough sunloungers that you won’t have to fight over them.

During the summer, there is a great outdoor area too with pools, sunbathing areas and sports zones[/caption]

It also has the Südsee ‘sea’ that is three times the size of an Olympic pool, and the lagoon with two underground slides, watch towers and Balinese huts.

There are also four slides in the Water Worlds area, including the record-breaking, 200 metre Double Racer – the longest of its kind in the world.

The Tropical Village has houses from around the world including Bali, Malaysia and Thailand, each with restaurants and cafes inside.

Frozen yoghurt stalls, cocktail bars and gift shops are also nearby – and even a tattoo parlour.

And Tropical Rainforest is the animal attraction, with a huge rainforest home to 50,000 plants and 600 different plant species.

Flamingos, turtles and fish can be spotted at the mangrove swamp, while there is also a huge new bitterly house.

Temperatures at the resort remain between 26C and 32C depending on the area, so it’s balmy all year round.

Make sure to pack your sunscreen as you can still get burnt inside.

But when the weather is better outside, there is also the outdoor area Amazonia.

The  35,000sqm area has a number of pools which have lazy rivers, waterfalls and hot tubs, as well as slides and bubble pools.

There is even a surf pool, sports area and sunbathing zone for up to 2,500 people.

Other attractions include the hot air balloon, which floats 15m in the sky, as well as mini golf, games arcade and a spa complex.

Day tickets to the attraction start from €37.50 while overnight stays start from €67.50.

If you don’t fancy leaving the UK, a huge new £250million water attraction is set to open in Manchester.
