US natural gas futures rose 2% due to increased gas flow to LNG export plants and forecasts of cooler weather. However, the weather is expected to remain milder than usual through early November, resulting in lower heating and cooling demand. Record gas output and lower demand are limiting price gains. Gas futures for November delivery rose 1.7% to $3.130 per mmBtu. The lack of significant price movements has reduced historic 30-day futures volatility to its lowest level since April 2022.
