Rapper Drake will give away free Dave’s Hot Chicken sliders on his birthday

Drake will turn 37 on Tuesday, Oct. 24, but he’ll be the one giving out the gifts.

All Dave’s Hot Chicken customers will receive a free slider or tender in the rapper’s honor when they download the app and scan it at the register that day. No coupon or code is needed.

The promotion is valid from 11 a.m. until supplies run out, and applies to in-person orders only. No purchase is necessary.

Dave’s Hot Chicken was founded in L.A. in 2017, and Drake is one of the celebrity investors. The fast-growing chain now has Bay Area locations in Oakland, San Jose/Brokaw, San Leandro, Santa Clara, Dublin, Sunnyvale, Union City and El Cerrito.

Dave’s specializes in fiery Nashville-style chicken, but customers may choose any spice level, from “no spice” and “lite mild” up to “extra hot” and “reaper.” Sliders are served with kale slaw, pickles and Dave’s sauce.
