I upgraded my 1970s bathroom with Walmart & Amazon buys – it went from Saturday Night Fever to shabby-chic dream
A HOMEOWNER has shared how she upgraded her 1970s bathroom with Walmart and Amazon finds.
She was blown away by the results and said her new space was a shabby-chic dream.
Madison (@madisoncausby) shared the transformation video with her TikTok followers.
She brought viewers into her vintage restroom, with mustard-yellow tile walls, matching floors, and a simple white sink and vanity.
The DIY-er had a vision for what she wanted to space to look like, sharing photos of floral and blue bathrooms.
“Think timeless, classic, shoutout to TikTok for making me think I can do anything,” she said.
“I did not have ten grand to do a full refinishing of this bathroom so tile-refinishing it is,” she added.
“To take my bathroom from Saturday Night Fever to the shabby-chic space of my dreams, I got this kit on Amazon and it has all the supplies you need.
She prepped her tiles and painted them blue, applying two coats of the paint from the kit, $60.
She also painted her white vanity and cabinets a matching blue color.
To finish up her walls and bathroom walls, she used the same kit to recolor them.
For details, she spray-painted the hardware in her bathroom with gold paint and purchased new gold shower hooks for her curtains.
