Home Minister Amit Shah would lead the BJP’s poll campaign in place of PM Modi. BJP's Mizoram state President Vanlalhmuaka said that Shah is likely to address an election rally in Mamit district, where the Prime Minister is scheduled to address an election rally on October 30. Commenting on the cancellation of Prime Minister’s visit to Mizoram, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said that Modi cancelled his Mizoram election rally due to his silence over Manipur crisis.
