When police arrived on the scene on Dec. 30, they found the victim “bleeding from his head and neck." He was rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses said the shooter fled to a nearby apartment after the incident. Police say the boy “bragged” to the victim that his father had a gun before shooting him.
Police later found the gun, which was stolen in 2017, in a nearby trashcan. Davis was legally prohibited from owning a firearm due to his previous felony convictions. He is currently being held on $500,000 bail.
