Trent Alexander-Arnold fluffs golden chance with ‘miss of the season’ after Mo Salah’s penalty saved in Newcastle clash

LIVERPOOL star Trent Alexander-Arnold produced what some fans dubbed the “miss of the season” against Newcastle this evening.

The full-back was presented with a golden opportunity score during the first-half of the match.

Referee Anthony Taylor pointed to the penalty spot when he adjudged Luis Diaz to have been hacked down in the box.

Mo Salah stepped up to take the spot kick, but his effort was saved by Martin Dubravka.

Alexander-Arnold was quick up to the rebound with the goal at his mercy.

But he somehow shanked his volley harmlessly over the bar.
