Simon Katich believes that retiring Australian opener David Warner may never receive the public's "full respect" due to his involvement in the 2018 ball-tampering scandal. Katich believes that a portion of the public remains critical of Warner's actions during the incident, which led to the suspension of Warner, then skipper Steve Smith, and Cameron Bancroft. Warner, who recently announced his retirement from ODIs, is currently playing his farewell Test against Pakistan at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
