My Dollar Tree makeup finds were so good they left me speechless, I cleared the shelves and found big name brands
A BEAUTY enthusiast has sparked a rush to Dollar Tree after being pleasantly surprised by the big name brands available.
She went on a hunt for affordable makeup after seeing a woman on TikTok rave about her budget buys.
Alexis Simone (@itsalexissimone) has racked up almost 520,000 followers on TikTok, where she routinely posts shopping hauls.
The 23-year-old took to the social media platform to reveal the best items she found at her local Dollar Tree.
She beamed as she held up two large bags containing food and beauty supplies from well-known brands.
“Dollar Tree seriously outdid themselves today,” she said. “I’m gonna tell you right now that you’re not ready for the finds.
“You need to get your keys, get in the car, and go to Dollar Tree.
“Going to a new location can either be a hit or miss but this was heaven on earth of Dollar Trees.
“I mean full brand new makeup collections, tonnes of name brand makeup and food.”
Alexis was excited to start her haul starting with unpacking the food that she bought after venturing to Dollar Tree in search of all she had seen online.
“And now we’ve got the bag with all the new makeup finds,” she said.
“Bestie LA Colors has a whole new collection at Dollar Tree.
“I just found the new one that came out this month.
“Their like Halloween one? Nope, there is another one.
“It’s the sparkle collection, I mean we’ve got sparkly glosses, liquid blushes, and liquid highlights.
“I was literally trying not to scream. I bought it all.
“Also I know you want the tea I spent $68.94”
Alexis held up a pink lipstick, saying: “This is not part of the collection but b***h they have an Elf lipstick.
“It’s in the shade flirtatious. I lowkey feel like I had this exact Elf lipstick in middle school, we’re trying it again.”
She continued to hold up each of the beauty products that she found starting with Disney-themed chapsticks and then a sheet face mask.
“I found some new fun chapsticks,” she said.
“This is a candy cane swirl one from Disney it gives a little frappuccino and here is the other one I found this one is in the scent mint hot chocolate.
“I don’t think I’ve ever tried this from Dollar Tree, it’s their tea tree sheet mask so we had to pick it up to try.”
The money-savvy shopper asked her followers to comment below the video which of the products they wanted her to review in a follow-up post.
She held up the “loaded” bag to reveal there were still plenty of items to share including LA Colors lip balms and lipsticks.
She bought the brand’s shimmer jelly lipglosses in three different shades as well as a variety of nude lipsticks.
“In the collection, there is a bunch of these soft glazed lip products,” Alexis said holding up an LA Colors product. “They are sheer lip balms.”
Listing the colors she bought, she said: “This one is shade Playful, shade Crush on You which is lowkey giving rosewood from Dior, shade Sweet Talk.
“Bestie there are liquid eye shadows in the collection. Look at this gorgeous one called Toasty.
“Their Halloween liquid shadows were so good. These need to be insane I am so f**king excited.
“We’ve got shade Sugar Sugar which looks like a really pretty, sparkly pink.
“Shade Mystical gorgeous like maroon color, shade Enchanted this is kind of like a rose gold moment.
“Shade Greek Goddess which is given opal, pearl, everything I need and more.
“This is really pretty it’s called Star Dust another one of those liquid eyeshadows. It’s giving a sparkle deep gold kind of like copper.”
Alexis revealed she also bought a variety of LA Colors liquid blushes that claimed to be “weightless and longlasting.”
“I love LA cream blushes so this liquid one please be good,” she said.
She shared a highlighter and a bronzer from the brand’s Two Cheeky range with plans to contour her face.
And stocked up on a wide range of eye products to be ready to do a full-face look.
“The last of the new LA Colors makeup collection are all these new shimmery eyeliners,” she said.
“These are their Shimmer Auto eyeliners, we got shade Glamorous.
“Shade Pearly White. I feel like this one is going to be so pretty,” she said holding up the eyeliner.
“Now bestie have you seen any of this at Dollar Tree? I have been so excited to give you this haul.
“I was like hold on the girlies are not ready.
“If you go out shopping I always want to see your finds, so tag me in your hauls and let me know if your Dollar Tree has any of these goodies.
“Out of everything what the f**k are we trying on first. We’re obviously trying it all but we need to prioritize, so what do we want to see?
“LA Colors keep giving us the goods because we’re going to buy it all.”
Alexis captioned the post, writing: “YOU’RE NOT GONNA BELIEVE THE FINDS AT @DollaTree I AM SCREAMING [crying].”
Over 1.1 million people watched the video and it racked up over 100,000 likes from those who were grateful for the product recommendations.
Hundreds of viewers took to the comment section revealing which item they were most eager to buy, while others vented that their local store didn’t have stock yet.
“Need a taste test and a makeup look,” one person wrote. “My Dollar Tree is lame never has anything good,” another commented.
“I just went to mine the other day and I found the best masks!! The green tea and charcoal combo is fantastic,” a third said.
“I need everything from this new collection I hope my Dollar Treet has it [heart eyes],” another added.
