TalkTV’s Nicola Thorp gives birth to her first child with fiancé  Nikesh Patel

TALKTV star Nicola Thorp has revealed she has given birth to her first child.

The Talk Today host announced she and her fiancé Nikesh Patel have welcomed a daughter.

Former Coronation Street actress Nicola, 34, wrote on her instagram: “We are delighted to say that we recently welcomed our beautiful baby daughter into the world. Everything they say about birth being a rollercoaster of emotions is true. We’re shattered and smitten and everything in between.”

Nicola then shared a powerful reminder of how the children caught up in the Israel and Palestine conflict were on her mind at this time.

“Social media is a difficult place right now,” she added. “If your timeline is anything like ours, it’s filled with images of babies and children dying in conflict or living in fears and unimaginable danger.

“It doesn’t feel right to share our news on here without also acknowledging how fortunate we are that our baby is safe.”

Nicola then urged her fans to donate to the United Nations Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency, who are helping support new mums and babies in Gaza.

“Every child deserves to be born into safety,” she concluded.

Nicola then shared a sweet snap of her and Nikesh holding their daughter’s hand.

They have yet to reveal her name.

Nicola’s celeb pals were quick to flood her feed with their well wishes.

“Congratulations!” commented Josie Gibson alongside a string of heart emojis.

“Congratulations guys. Lots of love x” added Nicola’s former Corrie co-star Catherine Tyldesley.
