The Peregrine lander, carrying over 80,000 messages from children worldwide, is scheduled to lift off on Monday from Cape Canaveral Air Force station. Among the payloads is a piece of Mount Everest, which will be included in a German payload called DHL Moonbox. This mission will be the first US lunar landing in over 50 years and the first under Nasa's Commercial Lunar Payload Services Initiative. It also marks the inaugural flight of United Launch Alliance's Vulcan Centaur rocket.
