Horror details of pregnant woman ‘held hostage by rapper Lee ‘Viper’ Carter in garage for years before cops rescued her’
A TEXAS rapper has been accused of kidnapping a pregnant woman and keeping her locked in a garage for at least four years, according to police.
Lee “Viper” Carter, 52, was arrested and charged on Thursday with aggravated kidnapping by Houston Police, according to Fox affiliate KSAZ.
HPD Commander Michael Collins confirmed that the Houston-based rapper has been accused of holding a woman against her will inside a home at 5251 Perry Street.
“My heart goes out to the woman involved,” Collins said.
“She is a victim.”
A criminal complaint obtained by HuffPost reportedly revealed that the woman was discovered by police after officers responded to the home on a report of a kidnapping.
The woman allegedly told the responding officers she was trapped inside the home and had been for about four or five years.
She claimed that at the time she was kidnapped, she had been pregnant and was panhandling.
The criminal complaint reportedly reveals that the woman was abducted after Carter allegedly approached her to give her $1.
It claims the Houston man later returned to ask if she needed any help, but then told her to get into his vehicle.
The woman later said that Carter took her to his home and locked her inside his garage.
It was there she claimed she was allegedly forced to do drugs and have sex with him.
Carter has also been accused of allegedly stopping the woman from escaping.
It was not immediately clear if the woman gave birth while she was allegedly held captive.
Carter has been confirmed to be a local rapper known as Viper by several outlets.
He reportedly has multiple music videos uploaded to YouTube, some of which have received millions of views.
The rapper is reportedly being held in Harris County Jail as a preliminary hearing has been set for January 8, according to Chron.
