The Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has commenced development trials of the light tank Zorawar and aims to hand it over to the Indian Army for further testing by April this year. The Army has ordered 59 Zorawar light tanks, produced in collaboration with Larsen and Toubro, to enhance mobility and manoeuvring abilities in the Ladakh sector.
