Jaishankar's trip to Iran comes ahead of his visit to Uganda for the NAM Summit. The discussions in Tehran may cover the North-South Trade Corridor, Chabahar Port, security in the Caucasus related to the Azerbaijan-Armenian conflict and India's support for a two-state solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict. Iran remains central to India's connectivity to Central Asia, Russia and Afghanistan. Jaishankar's recent trip to Moscow among other issues focused on expediting various branches of INSTC.
