Radu Dragusin is earning less at Tottenham Hotspur than he would have done had he snubbed Spurs for Bayern Munich, according to The Athletic.
Tottenham have completed the signing of the 21-year-old defender from Genoa despite last-minute fears of missing out on him.
Bayern Munich made a late move to hijack Tottenham’s pursuit of the Romanian and were rumoured to be favourites to sign him.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy burned the midnight oil earlier this week to convince Dragusin to move to north London and not Munich.
The defender ultimately decided to keep his commitment to Spurs and rejected the move to the German champions.
It has been claimed that the Bavarians offered more wages to the defender to join them.
He is earning less at Tottenham than he would have had if he agreed to move to Bavaria this month.
However, Dragusin and his agents felt that a move to Tottenham made more sense at this stage of his career.
His representative has already marked out the next big move if he manages to make it at Tottenham.
