As the camera panned back to the iconic red sofa, there were three people on-set instead of two.
Show runner Tracey could be seen hovering behind the furniture with a document in her hand.
Realising they were back on-air, the hosts let out ah: “Oh!” in unison.
Roger told viewers: “That was Tracey by the way,” before Sarah said: “Tracey giving us a script there and thank you to …”
BBC stalwart Roger interjected: “That’s two days running she’s done that apparently.
“She’s the biggest star of the programme.”
Sarah then confirmed: “She certainly is.”
One show fan was quick to joke on X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote: “Good morning to the lady on the right.”
Sarah left fans delighted when she was promoted to the main anchor role earlier this year.
Yet fans previously slammed their recent appearance together, blasting the show for being too “football heavy.”
Meanwhile, Saturday’s BBC Breakfast wasn’t a drama-free affair either.
Anchor Naga Munchetty snapped at co-host Charlie Stayt as she took a swipe at his lack of knowledge on comedy Friends.
She also clarified her future on BBC Breakfast after taking on a guest host role away from the early-morning show.
She joined the broadcaster back in 2010, taking up her role on the programme’s iconic red sofa four years later.
During a discussion about false job adverts, Naga admitted: “I have had them, and block,” making a gesture with her hand.
She continued: “You’re [the scammers] completely confused because I’m not in the market looking for another job at the moment in time.”
