Mariners Moose Tracks, 1/14/24: Randy Johnson, James Paxton, and Andy Reid’s face whiskers
It’s Sunday, and if it’s Sunday, it’s Meet the Links.
In Mariners “news”...
- Truly unbelievable how close Jackie Bradley Jr. came to catching that ball.

- The Randys (Winn and Johnson) really put us in a deep hole. And David Ortiz. And Shin Soo-Choo. And Tino Martinez. I’m done.
And Adam Jones ok now I’m done.

Around the league...
- Only 31 days until pitchers and catchers report!

- Like the rest of us, Joey Votto can’t wait for baseball season. He really would like to know who he’ll be playing for sooner rather than later though.
- After James Paxton’s presence was reported at the NHL Winter Classic in Seattle on New Year’s Day, he went conspicuously unsigned in the days that followed. New reporting indicates he might be staying in the AL East this season.
- Marco Gonzales is going to steal someone’s soul when he absolutely blasts a 93 mph fastball through them in his first start of 2024 and it’s gonna be so awesome to watch. He is truly the opposite of the Jamie Moyer career arc.

- As a card carrying member of the Mustached, I would like to say to Mr. Reid, I understand, I feel your pain, and I applaud your strength.
